My miniature Dachshund “Cricket” seems to get quite upset when I touch her while she lays in her bed…
It’s probably because her back hurts. She looks to be no spring chicken. My winer Dieter does the same thing but he’s got back issues (as most elderly wieners do)
can we say, “fuck off?”
Our mini doxie only does this when we try to take a steak bone away from her. Otherwise, she whines when we DON’t pick her up or let her sit on our laps.

She’s the boss of you!!! She knows exactly who’s in charge! It’s funny to watch, but could be painful if she actually took a bite. Ouch!
it may hurt her long body when she is picked up. try the pillows
it probably hurts her body to be picked up right where her ribs are. try the pillows under her. it works for my dachshund
Looks like someone needs to do a better job of training and commanding their dog. This isn’t normal behavior for a well trained, socialized dog

@JoePits so what? I worked at an animal shelter for more than twelve years. Any idea how many SMALL dogs end up at a shelter because of a behavior like this? Big or small, you don’t let a dog threaten you.
@JoePits I saw that videoclip on your profile. That’s your dog? What if it suddenly DOES bite? You’re making the animal a badly behaving little monster. Dogs like this end up at shelter with the dozens. Because of owners like you.
